The review

This was a curious purchase and my first encounter with a ready-to-drink, microwavable soup in a bottle. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

The soup itself tastes good. It has a thick consistency, filled with pieces of vegetables and chicken, providing a satisfying texture. The flavour is primarily chicken-led, balanced with enough tomato puree to give it some distinction, while a mix of herbs contributes to the aroma and aftertaste. The flavour profile is consistent, though I did find the herb blend became slightly fatiguing towards the end of the bottle.

What’s more surprising is that Renourish achieves this with natural ingredients and no artificial additives. The nutritional profile is solid for a 500g serving; while it's surprisingly low in calories at just 205 kcal, it delivers 15g of protein and 10g of fibre. The 2.0g of salt is also a reasonable figure for a pre-made soup.

πŸ’ Verdict

It won't replace something like a Plenny Meal bar in terms of overall nutrition, cost, or convenience, but it serves as an excellent, flavourful change of pace with whole-food ingredients. From what I've gathered, the company is also deserving of its B Corp status.

For taste alone, it's a solid four out of five, but considering the quality of ingredients, nutritional balance, and company ethics, it earns a five-star rating overall.
