Iceland Scarily Spicy Carolina Reaper Chilli Chicken Wings

My Experience

I grabbed these during an Iceland sale the other day. I used to buy their Carolina Reaper strips years ago, which were great, even if they were very processed. This is the wing version.

Right away, let's be clear: if you don't eat spicy food, don't buy anything with "Carolina Reaper" on the label. You have to be sure you can handle real heat before trying them, as they are genuinely spicy.

Unfortunately, the heat is where the positives end. The wings have a nice kick, but that's pretty much the only flavour going on. Comparing them to the strips, for example, I remember those having a more zingy taste and, if memory serves, they felt even spicier.

Consider these an experiment or a "dare" type of food for friends & family. Otherwise, they're just your typical ultra-processed frozen wings.
