Lupton Hall Dragon Bite Cheddar

My Experience

So, this is another thing I 'confiscated' from my friend's house. Spicy jalapeno cheese is one of my favourite flavours, and I used to get the Mexicana slices from Tesco occasionally. This Dragon Bite cheddar is definitely a level above that.

The moment you cut the wax, there's a noticeable piquant smell. If you like the sharpness of aged cheddar mixed with a tangy, spicy jalapeno kick, it's an awesome scent.

That great smell carries right through to the taste. The cheese is smooth yet firm, and it melts in your mouth without breaking apart. You get that piquant flavour immediately, before a wave of spiciness kicks in towards the end and lingers in the aftertaste. The little pieces of jalapeno in the cheese also give an occasional tangy burst and something to chew.
