From my original Amazon review:

Got this 250g bag for about £10, which is a pretty decent amount for the price. The flowers themselves look alright, good vibrant yellow and orange colours, a mix of petals and the whole flower heads. They definitely look like proper Calendula.

When you open the bag, there's a noticeable herbal smell. It's... quite strong and not for everyone, I still haven't got used to it. That herbal notes also comes through in the initial sip after brew too, honestly the smell after brew isn't all that appetising either, but after that initial herbal hit, a really gentle, natural sweetness develops and that's what stays with you as an aftertaste. It's quite pleasant and makes it enjoyable to drink on its own.

Because of that nice sweet finish, I've found it's great for mixing with other teas that might be a bit bland or underwhelming on their own, like butterfly pea flower tea. It helps balance the taste out and you get the benefits from both herbs.

Only real downside is the packaging, the bag it comes in isn't resealable. So you'll definitely need to transfer it to an airtight jar or container to keep it fresh, which is a bit of a hassle.

Overall, pretty happy with it for the price. Good quantity, decent quality flowers, and a nice sweet taste once brewed. Just be ready for that initial herbal scent/flavour and have something to store it in.
