Boiling for 5 mins.

From my original Amazon review:

It's in simple box, nice packaging. The tea itself contains the expected mix of whole flowers and finer, broken pieces that looks like dust; unfortunately, some of these smaller bits tend to pass through even a good strainer. Even worse when the small bits get stuck in the perforated holes of the strainer.

Following the brewing instructions (boiling water for 5 minutes), the initial herbal aroma is quite strong, and the first taste can be somewhat off-putting. However, this intensity does lessen, revealing a subtle sweetness and a decent aftertaste. The flowers are robust enough for a second infusion, which is a good sign of quality. My photo shows the tea from a second steeping.

At £10 for 50g, the price is on the higher side. Considering this, the lack of a resealable inner bag for the loose tea with a lot of dusty bits is impractical.

Overall, this is a 3-star product for me. While the tea has some good qualities, decent quality for 2 steeping and its pleasant enough eventual flavour, the initially off-putting strength, the issue with bits in the cup & strainer, and the premium price point without all the conveniences (like resealable packaging) mean it's just an okay experience.
