On paper, it looks fantastic. Getting two of your five-a-day is a great start, and the nutritional information is really decent. That massive 46g of protein per meal is a huge plus.

When it comes to the taste, however, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The "katsu" part of this curry is really just in name only. The sauce is pretty mediocre and 100% felt like it was made by someone who has never had an actual katsu curry before. It has a slight spiciness to it, but it just doesn't deliver that rich, savoury flavour you'd expect.

On the other hand, the rest of the meal is decent including the predictable 'any rice, but short grain rice'. You get a good amount of chicken, but because the sauce fails to complement it, the chicken itself doesn't have much taste. If you're willing to add some of your own sauce or seasoning to give it a boost, it turns into a perfectly acceptable meal.
