My Experience

From my original Amazon review:

For those confused by other reviews about the serving size, you are getting the full advertised 25.8g of protein and associated nutrition from a 100g serving of the powder. When mixed with 500ml of water, this creates a 600g prepared shake. This is not false advertising, just poorly worded labelling that can be easily misinterpreted.

Now for the product itself. FUEL10K seems to be another company entering the meal replacement market without understanding the consumer or the 'why'. It is similar to Bulk and their awful tasting meal replacement, except Bulk's formula is genuinely high-quality with good ingredients. FUEL10K has neither a quality formula nor a pleasant taste.

The most concerning parts of this product are the sugar and fat content.

Unlike the yfood classic drinks where the sugar is naturally occurring from milk, the 23.5g of sugar per serving here is free added sugar. This means it was deliberately added, it provides nearly 100 empty calories but no other nutritional benefits like vitamins, minerals, or fibre. This single serving already constitutes over 78% of the 30g daily recommendation from the NHS. Anyone with concerns about blood sugar or related dietary issues should not drink this. Even for those without health issues, this level of free sugar is extremely unhealthy for long-term use from a single shake.

Next is the cheap, single-source fat they used. The ingredients show it is just sunflower oil. A look at any reputable brand shows a combination of different oils to provide a balanced profile of fatty acids for maximum health benefits. FUEL10K went with the cheapest option available. This has the side effect of creating a greasy, hydrophobic film that stubbornly clings to shakers, making them difficult to clean and trapping powder in all the crevices.

Regarding the shake itself, I prepared it with filtered water. The result is pretty much cocoa-flavoured water. It mixes well enough, but the texture can feel like sludge at times. The taste is disgustingly sweet; you first taste water, then a hint of cocoa, which is immediately overwhelmed by what is essentially just sweet water. The flavour formula is not good at all.

This is a big waste of money. I do not recommend this for anyone and I'll personally be skipping the rest of their range.
