What-Cha Tanzania Sakare Gold Black Tea

I brewed this at around 80–90°C for 1–2 minutes, and this little tea genuinely surprised me. It starts off fairly typical for a black tea, with that familiar maltiness, but quickly smooths out into a slight sweetness with a pleasant fruity note that matches the aroma.

What impressed me most is how well that character holds together throughout the whole sip. The malt, sweetness and fruit flow naturally into one another and stay pleasant right through to the swallow, with zero bitterness or astringency. It is very easy drinking without becoming bland.

I picked this one fairly randomly and wasn't expecting much from it, so it ended up being a genuine surprise. Especially for the price, this is an easy strong 4 stars from me.
