The big one is here. James Gunn's Superman has landed, tasked with rebooting an entire cinematic universe. It’s a colourful, messy, and overstuffed film that gets a lot right, but it’s also completely undermined by one of the most baffling acts of character assassination I’ve seen in a blockbuster. I just watched it.
